Found this hammer about a month ago in Northern Calif. I'd like to know where and when it was made and anything else about it.
Does anybody out there have a time-machine that I can slip this hammer into and find out how many times it was fired and at who or what, up until it was lost. I would give just about anything to know, like who was the last person to touch it before I found it and how long before. it conjures up so many thoughts!

Thanks in advance

Pete

Sorry Pete, there is no way on God's green earth that any such information is possible. No way, No how.:confused::eek::confused:

Quite a relic. Did you dig it up? I think we can narrow it down somewhat. It apears to be off a mid 1800s rifle. Some antiquers will probably come along with more info.

The screw head on the left side of the hammer would not make any sense unless it were installed as a joke or an odd decoration.
