Here's a pic and a link to many many pix of the markings on my "new" M1917 that I bought last week.

As always, comments & opinions are welcomed.
If you can help identify any markings, that would be great too. Rumor is this might have been in Canadian hands at one time.
The most interesting pic is the one of the 8 notches carved into the wrist of the stock...marking kills? Sounds good anyway.
    Enjoy!

Hey! Is this like, some swimsuit edition of "Rifles Illustrated"? Fancy tropical backdrop, flowers in the front - You don't happen to have a red garter to put around the stock, do ya?

    Hey,
I had to do something to "sexy up" the Enfield!
    It's all about composition....
Now that I look at it, it does look like the cover photo from "Yuppie Antique Arms" catalog.

Excuse me??? You don't need to do anything to pretty up an Enfield!!!

However, I do love the setup and am drooling over the Enfield.

    T, the Enfield nut!

    Thanks!
Haven't shot her yet (been buried in work...I'm the only one in our office for the past two weeks!)
but I hope to soon, and I mean really soon!

Anyway, I've heard pretty good things about the accuracy of these things, and the bore is mirror; it cleaned up well!
So, I'm hoping she'll at least be able to hit the paper.
I'm sure she's more capable of accuracy than I am!
