Shooting my inline 50 cal muzzleloader yesterday and started wondering if the plastic jackets that the 250 grain sabots are encased by, leave any residue in the barrel. Hard enough to clean anyway, and hoping the bore brush would remove any plastic left behind. Lot of heat happening in there also.

I've been shooting sabot poly tip bullets for years in mine, never any problems with residue.

I have plastic sabots for 54 Cal and they work great.Been using them for years and no problems so far.

Yes, I've been using them for years also. Always with good results. Just started wondering. Seem to be doing that a lot lately!!
