I was just contacted by a friend in Dallas asking for prayers for his friend who is the Marine Corps pilot that ejected near Japan. Any prayers appreciated.......John
Prayers for his safety have been sent.
Prayers sent from here for his safety.
Prayers sent from Sitka.
Addendum: USA Today reports pilot ejected safely and has been rescued.
Yikes. Will be praying.....
Prayers for the pilot.
Thanks Mac, glad the pilot is OK.
Great news. Thanks for all the prayers.
So sorry this information was incorrect. I just received the following email from my friend. May this fine man RIP and prayers for his family.
"My heart is breaking at the news on Jake. Jake did not make it, they found his body at sea after 24 hours of searching for him.
He died in service to our nation and we honor him.
As I grieve for Jake and the family, I am also confident that Jake is a believer in Jesus Christ, The God-Man Redeemer. Jake is face-to-face with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; he believed upon The Gospel of Salvation for his eternal soul. "And the angel said unto Mary, 'you shall name him Jesus, for HE shall save His people from their sins'. "He shall be called, Emmanuel, meaning God With Us!". "For Jesus was crucified for our sins and was raised to Life for our Justification."
Jesus said, "I Am the Resurrection and The Life; he who believes on me, though he dies, will never die." Jake is alive and well in heaven with the Triune God: God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit. For God Himself came into the world to save Jake and to save all who will believe the Good News of Salvation in Christ Jesus; Jake is worshipping our King right now along with the saints of God in the very presence of our Redeemer: "To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood!" We miss you here on the earth Jake but we know we will see you again in heaven through our Lord Jesus Christ; for He has given Eternal Life in Himself to all who believe. "For it is by Grace that you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourself, it is The Gift Of God not by works so that no man can boast."
Joe Bob sent this to me early this morning:
"Jake didn't make it. They recovered his body a couple of hours ago.
It's sad news to us here on earth, but he's doing just fantastic as he is face to face with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for he had claimed John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life!"
May he rest in peace. Prayers sent for his family, and thanking them for his service.
I've no idea how/why USA Today would've run this item online, and feel really terrible for having passed along what truly seemed to be wonderful news. My sincerest apologies. Prayers for Jake and his family.
Please don't feel bad. Your prayers are appreciated.
Sorry to hear that, but glad to hear he is with his Lord and ultimate Commanding Officer. That is a great letter. Thanks for sharing. God willing Jake's testimony will go on winning people here on earth for long after he has left.
I think the USA Today article referred to another ejection from a Harrier that happened back in September off Oikinawa, not Japan...
