Nice lady brought this over yesterday.Her grandfather brought back,basically sitting in holster in safe for decades.NOT for sale-would like to know year(if you can read ser#) and how to gently clean and leave original finish...Should I oil holster too?After gentle cleaning,it will be put in a dessicant/oil bag to be put back in safe for grandson...Has holster and 2 mags.....yes,I'm going to pop off a few before cleaning 🙃

Looks to me like the serial number starts with an m. If it has a takedown lever, with an M serial number it should be about 1943. If it does not have the takedown lever then it would be 1945.

I can't help much on the date - except that if it has the Nazi Eagle it was during the German occupation (1939-1945). Many were made before the invasion and of course do not have the German Eagle. There was an article in the last year or so about the Radom factory, and the use of slave labor under Nazi rule.

Radom's were a very robust design, simple to maintain and quite accurate for a military sidearm. Radoms, along with the Browning "HiPower" were chosen as an alternate standard issue weapon for the German Army.

You might consider neatsfoot oil (like we used to use on baseball gloves) as a preservative on the holster. Do not store the pistol in the holster. For cleaning I'd just use a good grade of gun oil. You might want to wipe down all exposed steel areas with CLP before putting it in storage.

Nice pistol. I hope it goes to someone who will appreciate it.

Yes,it has a takedown lever------she said there were an L-shaped thingee with a lump at one end lying on the shelf in the safe.There is an empty hole in the usual place with slide marks up and down further back.She is going to bring it over along with 3 other handguns.Hoping for something else out of the ordinary.

How many safeties does a Radom P35 pistol have?

I have been looking at Radom pistols and I am confused about safeties. Does the Radom P35 have just the grip safety (like the 1911) or do different variations (1, 2, 3) have one or more? Thanks, louielouie p.s. My very first post and it is a question.
