What are your opinions of these procedures for repairing a rifle barrel that has damage to the bore, assuming that the rifle is one of high enough value to consider expending the cost of these services ?

This seems very reasonable in light of the fact that I was quoted a price of about $800 for replacing the barrel on my Winchester model 52. Just want to know if the above is an acceptable alternative.

Thanks.

Its a good option. Many old guns become great shooters again after relining. Defiantly cheaper than replacing the whole barrel. Ive done several even converting some to .17HM2 and HMR.

Redman is a decent liner, numrich (gunpartscorp) not so great in my limeted experience --
Taylor in puyallop wash does a very good job - I don't recall whose liner he uses but the liner is almost impossible to see --
