They take some getting used to but once you do get used to it, you can shoot very accurately with them and do it much faster than iron sights.

    I have 2. A Vortex Venom 3moa and a Holosun 507c-gr V2 with a circle dot reticle. I really like the Holosun.

I have two red dot scopes but not on my carry gun.
With mine I have to turn them on so they are not for fast situations.
You could put a red dot on a revolver...

    (These are not my guns)
I think you would like a revolver.
You need to try out both revolvers and pistols see what works for you.

upload_2020-7-1_21-2-7.png I bought one something like this at Cabela's about 5 years ago. I put it on my S&W Victory 22. It works so well it's almost like cheating. I got it on sale for $26. Still using the original battery.

I have red-dot sights on several of my guns, but not on any revolvers. That little Burris that One Shot posted does look pretty good but that first picture of the big ole honker is just ugly (to me).

Both of mine are the ugly ones. :) There weren’t too many of the tubeless ones back when I got mine.

I have a couple of those myself, one of them is on a Ruger Mark III 22/45 and the other on an AR. I just don't like the looks of it on that Smith revolver!

It would be on a carry gun...
If I don't deside my pink revolver and was to get something else what would you all suggest? Remember I have little hands but very strong and capable...

Rae, I wouldn't waste a moment of time, nor a dime of cash on a red dot for your revolver. Take the time to practice with what you have, and when you need it, your hand will automatically find your target.

I have 1, laying on my gun table. Dot turns into a crescent when I look through it, maybe a pistol red dot be different since it wouldn't be right up in my face.

I have a Ruger Super Blackhawk chambered in .44 Mag that has a big ol' red dot. Similar to the picture of the Smith that One Shot posted. It had the sight on it when I bought it at the pawn shop. It's an ugly beastie for sure. Shoots nice though. Had intentions of carrying it during MO's "alternate weapons deer season" along with my inline BP. Not being able to find a holster for it has kept me from doing so.

Have you fired the “pink” one? Does it fit your hand? It might be just what you want. Try (rent) several to find one that you like.

I would use what Gun and sight combo that I am confident with, and proficient with.

I have not fired the gun... I very much like the feel and weight. I believe they weigh 12 ounces
