I have a Colt 1911 government stainless in 38 super that has collected a series of minor scuffs, scratches etc. over the years. I have experience refinishing and applying Cerakote but I want to refinish this firearm back to factory finish. Has anyone refinished one of these back to original? What medium, grit, pressure did you use? I have a blast cabinet and tools to apply the medium. Appreciate any help.

Send it back to Colt.....You will then get quality and a letter stating factory refinish/rebuild.
