A long time friend of my dad's showed me a rifle that he bought when he was younger. He got it new.

It is a Remington 5mm Magnum model 591, the gun is in REALLY good shape, and he still has bullets for it .

I did some reading and found out they came out in 1970 and were only produced for 4 years .

Anybody have an idea on value of it ?

The gun sells for right around $250 in excellent shape. The ammo will sell for around $50/50.

Dang! I wouldn`t give a hundred for a NIB one, with 500 rounds. I must be out of touch. LTS
