I have a contact that wants $250 bucks for one in 30-06 w/o a scope. I have heard that his is a great price. The rifle is a few years old and in good shape, from what I hear. I have not seen it yet. Is this indeed a good price?

I'm not an expert, but since no one else replied to your question, I'll give it a try.
Yes, $250 is a good price for that gun. I'd pay as much as $325. Depends on the stock, too. Synthetic is a little cheaper but you can't go wrong either way. I can tell you from my experience, this gun is a good deer chaser.

Dang, can't believe I missed this one.

I know I'd pay the $250 and not blink an eye for it.
