What caliber is your 600? Is it an 18" barrel and did it have iron sights at one time that some one removed. The 600 Mohawks had vent ribs on them and a shark fin front sight. That looks like a replacement stock made by Champion. I have a clean Remington 660 in .243 (same rifle with a 20" bbl and no vent rib) and they all came with walnut stocks. I bought mine 5 years ago and paid $400.00.
Yours may be worth more depending on caliber.

SBE, looks like he saying his is a .222.
He added that after the fact Joe, the .222 is a real scarce caliber in the 600/660 series rifles. The Champion plastic stock kills it though. I would start a search for an original walnut stock . And if the barrel has the holes for the missing sights & vent rib, otherwise it's been rebarreled.
