I wish that I had kept my 10/22. I don't remember the year, but it was in the seventies, and I bought it at Woolworth's. The sticker price was $88.88.
That was EXPENSIVE.............. $88.88 from January 1975 when adjusted for inflation comes to $439.79 today........ just saying.

No I really do. I am interested in old Rugers and the older the better. I saw a Ruger 3 screw at Cabelas and when I saw it was made in 1970 and in very good shape I had to have it.

How much was everyone else paying for them in the 70s, maybe early 80s?
I think i paid $59.00 for mine in late 1970 or early 1971.But i traded in a old beat up bolt action 20 ga shotgun in the deal. He gave me $5.00 for the shotgun, and thru in 2 boxes of .22s., So i guess i paid around $64.00 dollars or so. Still have it by the way.

I bought mine made in ‘67 about 10 years ago from a pawn shop that didn’t know what they had, or they just wanted to get rid of it. 125.00 out the door, and didn’t look like it had ever been shot.

My first gun, a Remington 22 pump, was a birthday present in 1973. The price sticker was still on the box. $79.95. the last time I looked up that gun -I don't know if they still make it but they did then - it was 595. I guess 80 bucks wasn't bad.

My 10/22 dates to 1984. I know when I bought it I was working at a company I worked for from 81 to 85, so that fits. Bought it at Kmart. Seems like it was either 110 or 125.

So I paid too much for mine? Too late , by about 32 years now. I'd give $88.88 for a good used one now.
We all pay for what seems - at the time - a fair price. In the end it doesn't matter as long as we all go home HAPPY.........
