Ruger .357 California Highway Patrol Commemorative Rifle

    Does anyone know what these rifles are worth, I have Two

    It would be a great help if you could tell us who issued these commemoratives and during what year.

    I also have one of these, in box, never fired and I, too, am curious about current value.

    Specifically, it is a Ruger Number 1, single shot rifle, .357 magnum. They were a limited run made in 1981 (I believe) with a California Highway Patrol insignia engraved on both sides. This has been argued about in other forums as some misunderstand it to be a CHP-issued rifle, which it is not. Also, I have read that is not in the Ruger catalog.
