Going to look at a Ruger Vaquero in 45 Colt but part of the description calls it an "Owl's Head". What exacally does that mean? Something special?

I would guess they are talking about the shape of the grip, I would call it a birds head grip, myself.

I think a birds head is correct. Probably someone making a mistake remembering it had something to do with a bird and got it convoluted with the Iver Johnson grip.

Well, the deal ain't happening. The grip isn't comfortable to me plus his price is high at 675

I have had one with a birds head grip and I also found it to be very uncomfortable and the few (very few) times I fired it, I had a hard time holding on to it,

I can understand the grip, either you like it or not, but that price, given the present circumstances, doesn’t seem out of line IMHO. Next year it may be available used for a little less or they might be much more if and when they come on the market.
