Figured this was the best place to ask!
I have a Ruger Old Army cap and ball revolver, I recently found out that Ruger no longer makes this pistol, And I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I might be able to get an extra cylinder for it? Will it have to be fitted or can I have one made to just drop in?
I love this pistol and would really like to have 2 cylinders for it!
Thanks
Jeff

I'm unaware of any after market, extra cylinders for the ROA from Ruger or anyone else. To have one made from scratch would probably cost significantly more than the revolver and yes, that one would have to be fitted.

Here's a tip! I owned one for many years, and really enjoyed shooting it. If you load it with .457 round balls, it'll shave a thin ring of lead when you seat the ball over the powder. I shot it for years, and never had a multi-ignition. (I ended up giving it to my best friend because he liked it so much!)
