I, am with ral357, .44Mag. The Loading port on the mag, looks to short for 45-70.

My nephew has one in .44 mag, but i can't tell from the pic if this one is a .45 colt or .44 mag. My Henry is a Uberti in .45 colt and has a whole lot different loading system.

I have one in 44 rem. mag. No shiny brass on mine, just blued. My preference, but nothing against a Henry no matter what configuration. If you look at a few before picking one, you can usually find one with nice wood figuring.

Yes I just started reloading about a year ago.
