The reviews are decent and most state they are ammo sensitive.

Personally, I'd prefer a Marlin model 60.

I have both,I use the Marlin for open sights and the 64 with a scope when I have the need. I also have two 10-22's that collect dust.:) Cliff

I don't have one but a few folks I know do. They all say the trigger is a bit heavy, but the truth be known - they really wouldn't appreciate a good trigger pull if it bit them in the you know where... The guys I know that have the 64 are the type that spray and pray... So, with this said, I still feel that since it's a Savage, there is real accuracy potential with this rifle. Unfortunately I have not seen it yet 'cause the ya'hoos I know that have them, are spray and pray shooters.:eek:hmygosh:
