Hi everyone! I'm trying to determine the value of my 1967 .308 Winchester Savage 99F. It has a Weaver scope and Lyman sights. Checkerboard stock. I think it's in very good condition with some wear on the blue. I tried to take several pictures that would help you all. I would really appreciate any insight into its value.
Book reference only: 100% condition is $750 plus 15% added for .308, $112. ($862)
I am no expert on condition, but my opinion is that rifle is about 60-70% condition, which book shows $265--$340 (again, add 15% to that price for the .308)
All is not lost! That was just book.
There is one bidder on a ********* bid for $400 right now. Much worse condition! http://www.*********.com/item/628596279
I have a pair of 99C's in .308 Win. I probably paid too much, but they are in very good condition. I had to have two, one for each of my son's when I'm gone. Meantime they're good companions in the deer woods.
I am not one to ask where to sell as I've only sold two firearms in my lifetime.
I used Armslist in both cases, local sales. You have an Armslist in your state. Check them out. (It's like Craigslist but for arms)
********* prices are $550-$700 right now. They're not making any more of these and I suspect they never will. A lot depends on how quickly you need to sell it.
