I probably go to wallymart once a week (at a minimum) and I go by the sporting goods department every time. I have never seen this "deal" but it really is sounding like a really good deal and I may have to ask about it the next time I am over there.

I was over at our local wally mart a few minutes ago. While there, I did my usual trip down to the sporting goods department. NO ammo of any kind but they had one of the green stocked Savage rifles, the cost was $423. I would have bought it if I had not spent $3200 in the past few days for a new furnace. If they still have one of them when I do get the money, I will probably end up with a new .22 rifle.

I thought the FV-SR and the At-One wally world special was the same gun except the green stock. As I was cleaning both of them today, I realized that the barrel on the green wienie is about four inches longer that the FV-SR. That should make it shoot better, at least my feeble mind thinks that.

That green weenie Savage may not be the best gun for kid intros, that sucker is the heaviest rifle that I have!!

Saw a Savage 22 with a green stock at Wal-mart today. Didn't really pay much attention I was trying to get the salesperson to unlock the 22 mag ammo but it 3 hundred and.......Should I think of an excuse to go back
Ral, if you saw one for 300, you better think of an excuse quick and get back over there.
