I recently acquired a Savage Model 60 .22lr. I cannot find any information anywhere on this rifle. The Savage website has NO info on it. Does anyone know how to strip this rifle? How many rounds does the tube mag hold? Anything? Thanks for any help you can give, guys.
I am not that familiar with newer Savage 22's but my first thoughts on this is that you have a Model 6D, and not a Model 60 - which I don't think Savage ever made.
Savage / Stevens did make a model 60.
It was the autoloader and was made 1969-1972.
I think it hold 10-15 rounds but just load it to see.
It would take me a while to tell you how to strip it.
There are a couple of videos on how to disassemble it on you tube.
Be careful these have springs that like to shoot across the room when you strip it.

Thanks for the info, Mike. I did check the rifle again, and it is a model 60. I still have yet to find a video on youtube. The only ones that come up are for the Marlin model 60.
I see what you are saying.
Well you could try it yourself it is not hard just take your time and take pictures of each step so you have a reference on how to put it back together.
Use the schematics on Numrich as a reference.
If you have a problem just pm me and I will give you my number and walk you through it.
