I have the Winchester Model 94 AE top eject 30-30. I would like to put a scope on it. I see on another thread it looks like JLA fabricated a mount for the scope.
Is that the only way to put a scope on it?

The Winchester 94AE was designed to be able to allow a scope being mounted in a conventional manner. The older 94s were top eject, and required a side mount or mounted the scope on the barrel ahead of the action, requiring a long eye relief scope.

JLA did not fabricate that mount..it is a commericaly made mount to place a scope on a TE winchester. the scope its self is just rotated so the shells will eject cleanly. see mount here..http://www.amazon.com/Kwik-Site-Sid...088&sr=1-3&keywords=winchester+94+scope+mount

Ok cool, I wasn't sure if they made a scope mount for it or not. The guy I bought it from sold it to me because he said you could not put a scope on it, because of the top eject. His loss my gain.

Is there another brand of mount that someone prefers?
Thanks again
