I have a Winchester 67A that is still in good condition and I want to add a scope. Since it has the one piece barrel/receiver, what do you recommend for mounts? Top mount? Side mount? which ones?

Welcome to TFF
I myself like top mount over side mount.
Weaver makes top mount basses for your gun it is 2 pc set.
You will have to drill and tap 4 holes (2 for each mount) and you need to mount the scope so the bolt clears it.
I am not sure if anybody makes a 1 piece mount for it (a quick look could not find any).

They do not make a 1 piece for that model Goofy. weaver bases are the only way.

As an alternative to a scope, my recommendation, especially for that model is a good fine peep sight and a fine blade up front. Even 'old' eyesight can focus more clearly on an aperture peep set up. and you don't have bolt to scope clearance issues.

But that's just an alternative that I myself prefer. it is by no means a better alternative.

But very user friendly and can just as accurate as a scope.
