That's great. It's been so long since the Boy Scouts were in the news, that I rarely think of them anymore. I think shooting or guns was one of the merit badges I earned years ago. At first though, I thought you were speaking of the Jeff Cooper type of Scout rifles. I imagine though that you are still teaching them all the shooting positions as Jeff Coooper demonstrates in this photo of him with a Scout Rifle (not a Boy Scout Rifle though).

I remember well when I took rifle merit badge at Camp Raven Knob. It was the summer I lost my grandfather, I left for camp immediately after the funeral. That merit badge was the only thing I had to look forward to.


Sure do miss scouting. Hate what it has become though.

Looks like we won't be seeing the scouts this weekend as planned. We're still waiting for scout headquarters to do the paperwork to make us an official scout range.
