BU1(SCW) Corrigan reenlisted today in front of the same MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle) that he rode while serving in Afghanistan. In speaking with Petty Officer Corrigan, he said that he had ridden this same truck dozens of times, along the same route that eventually led to the vehicle's retirement after being struck by a Rocket Propelled Grenade. He didn't realize it was the same vehicle, nor what had befallen the vehicle after he left Afghanistan, until he happened upon the familiar truck at the museum. He chose to reenlist today, the Seabees' 78th Birthday, in front of his old friend, which was once known as Natasha. Congratulations on your decision to Stay Navy!
