In cleaning out "stuff" I found an H & R Young American Double Action handgun. I don't know the correct language - so feel free to laugh... It holds 7 bullets and is a .22 caliber. "YOUNG AMERICA DOUBLE ACTION" is engraved above the cylinder. On the left side of the barrel is H & R Arms Company Worcester, Mass USA. The serial number located on the bottom of the back strap is 34348. My husband's grandfather purhased it in Rathbun, Iowa, in 1907 as a gift for his wife. As far as I know, there is no 'holster' for it, but it is in the original box. It has a pearl handle (back strap?) I don't really have a clue, but would assume it is nickel; and it is in good condition. In the photo, it looks black but it is silver (gun metal grey?). I want to pass this on my grandchildren and would like some information to go along with it, i.e., what year it was made, approximate worth, and any other info you can provide to me. Thank you...
