Recently bought a Remington 1911 R1 Enhanced and found that my shoulder holster was not a good fit for it. I had previously used the holster for a Colt Series 70, but this one apparently is just a bit longer so the snap would not reach.

Anyone else have this particular model of pistol with a shoulder holster that works for them? Looking for recommendations. Thanks

Midway I believe has a shoulder holster for the 1911. It's called the Tanker.

If the holster is a GI M3 the pistol will fit like a glove unless of course your pistol has been modified from GI such as taller sights. I have original and repro holsters and all of my 1911 ( including a new Remington R1) FN Hi Powers, Star A&B, fit just fine. I wear a 1911a1 in an M3 holster each morning when we go to check hog traps...shot this guy yesterday with that 1943 era 1911a1. 388CD2B8-D838-4480-87D0-C11996A5D23C.jpeg
