I was at Camp Cooper today getting some chores done and I took the Sig out and put a few mags through it

    It's a good solid 1911

It points well for me and I am in love with the G10 Hougue grips

The mags are supposed to be 8 rounds but I couldn't seem to get the 8th one in correctly so I just shot 7 rounds per mag
I'll have to look into that later

I ran a few mags of my loads with Berrys HPs and some 200 gr cast lead bullets

It functions great and I want to get back out soon and spend more time with it

I want to put several more mags through it, maybe tomorrow:D

Good shooting! How is the trigger?

I see you took the 'Sig Sauer' emblazoned grips off... Can't tell exactly from the pic but does that G10 wrap around the front of the frame too? Are they rubbery?

I ask because I like rubbery grips... My LW Ruger SR1911 9mm came with them.

I'll have to investigate the G10

I see the word SIG on the grips so I would think they come with those grips.

Ahhh... got it. I went back and looked... I had confused this gun with another post where someone had a Sig 1911 where "sig sauer" was laser etched into wooden grips

Can't find that post right now but I remember commenting upon it

Ha! I save sooo much money by re-using my un-punctured targets...

The trigger is good, but not great. It has a very minor creep but the break is clean
Mind you , I've only shot it less than 30 times, so I think it will break in a little

I did not end up getting the STX that had those maple grips, the one I bought is a totally different model

The grips on the photo came on it and I freaking love them. The are not rubbery in the least, they have these textured scales on them and you can grip the heck out of that frame
The grips do not wrap around the front of the mag well
