Anyone have this version? I've heard they're not very reliable, is that true?
Thanks.
Thanks.
FinallyI have a 522 had no problems with it great pinker.
I am a rimfire nut myself. I woudl recommend the 522 to anyone. The only issue I had is when I bought it a year or two ago my FFL called me and said it was broke and they had to get another one. A week later he called and said this one is broke to and he sent it back another week and the third one came in he called me again saying it is broke I said I wanna see it this time so I went over. Turns out he thought the charging handle was broke off having read the manual online already I poped open the flap on the bottom of the grip and removed the charging handle then proceeded to install it. He turned beet red and I LOL big time. Finally! I thought no one on this entire forum owned one, I've been trying to decide to get this or a Henry 001, or rather which to get first. Hmmm
I've looked at other places on the net and many others have been pretty happy with their 522s, maybe I should invest in it first.

Several thousand at least. One thing it has over the M&P 25/22 is it takes standard ar22 mags. This is one of the reasons my daughter likes it cause I always keep a pile of BD 25 round ( think they are really 23? ) mags loaded and the bd 50 round drums are always loaded as well so she like the 522 cause she does not have to load mags. That's definitely LOL worthy!
So how many rounds have you got through the bore?
So reliability is a non-issue awesomeSeveral thousand at least. One thing it has over the M&P 25/22 is it takes standard ar22 mags. Mine came flattop no sights. So reliability is a non-issue awesome! I'm impressed by the magazine options too, didn't know it could take 22 AR mags!
What about iron sights? I know they don't ship with them; have any suggestions?
I hope I can get this gun. Really tight on funds right now; might be a few months before I could afford one, but definitely will be at the top of my list.
LOLOops!! Brain fart. 522 is a long gun. Boy do I fool feelish. Well at least I got someone to laugh at me today. Come to think of it, people laugh at me most every day.
Do you use optics or iron? I know the sights from SIG are fairly expensive.Mine came flattop no sights.
That was the mount I grabbed out of the drawn when I put he scope on. As it is a 22 stability is not a issue. I have had many squirrels out past 50 yards who prove the stability of this set up..Maine04657:
Nice picture of your gun but I sure would not mount a scope the way you did. With the long cantilever mount you used, I would think the stability of the scope on the gun would be impaired.
If everybody did it the same then I woudl not have so many drawers full of different parts for doing the same thing.. Of course I likely would not have safes of multiple firearms either.. LOLMaine04657:
I guess I am too much of a purist. If it works then all is fine. I just would not do it that way.
Merry Xmas
