Last night at the Rocky Mountain Elks foundation Banquet (RMEF) I won a Silencer Central (SC) SoLo 22LR valued at $345
I can use the $345 to up-grade to the Banish model for other calibers if i want. I'm sure for a small fee.

Tax Stamp Q,
SC says they Manage of all paper work but I see fingerprints and photo are required, is that done at LE headquarters ?
I know that Fee is $200

I do have a threaded 22lr in a browning Buckmark this can go on.

I guess times have changed.

ATF used to require prints on the ATF fingerprint card. The ones I got it at my local police department were rejected because the card did not say ATF. The next few times I got the ATF-marked cards from my dealer, the same as I got the blank form 4s.

The first time I got printed I did it the police department and they charged me $5. Then I found out the sheriff's department would do it for free and I went there every other time. I have heard that now they are charging a fee, but I haven't bought anything in a while.

I had a picture taken at CVS. I think they charged me 15 bucks. I went to an actual photography studio. He charged me $20, but I saw that he used digital camera and printed the picture out with a color printer. The next three or four times I needed a picture I took the picture myself with a digital camera and printed it out on my color printer. No problems.

Congratulations. Well done. Enjoy.

Seriously, for a sound moderator?
Yep. If we want to get one over here, we just get a variation on our FAC's. We've already jumped through the security hoops to get our Fire Arms Certificates. The police already have our pictures and a lot of personal info. They don't have our fingerprints, but they have everything else.

All true, but we also do not have to pay any extra and the finger prints seems a bit much. Always seens strange that if I want a 22 parker hale moderator for my rimfire I have to put it on my license. However, I can tell the gun dealer that the same 22 parker hale moderator is to be used on an air rifle and he puts it in a bag and hands it over. It was only fairly recently that moderators had to be included on my licence, still difficult to figure out why.

Take the picture yourself. My wife goes online with Wal-Mart and had pictures printed all the time. She says they charge a couple bucks then mail them to you.

Larry, before you waste time and money, find out if it requires an analog (ink on your thumb), or a digital finger print scan.
It can be either.

If you do ink prints and efile you have like 10 business days to mail your prints to the ATF.
If you do electronic prints (which can cost you around $60 but you will have them forever) via an .EFT file they are submitted when your dealer does your eform along with them talking a current photo. Then you pay your tax on Eforms and bam you are done and on the (currently) 10 month wait.

I imagine my sheriffs office would be more than happy to take my picture and prints.
A bad thing would be when you walk into the Sheriff's office you see you picture already on the wall of the most wanted list. Might be better to go in with some type of a disguise first.;)

Ya, like getting your picture takin at Disneyland behind a wanted poster. I got one around here somewhere.

While watching U-tube videos on the subject i noticed some accessories I need to complement the new silencer,
The browning Buckmark Vision Red needed a Red dot reflex sight, and a Red Halo charging loop (not here yet)
I'm also considering a red flat trigger when my wallet starts to get a hole in it.

So do you get a stamp for yourself or is one required for each item you may have? Or is the stamp for the item.

Once you have been processed and excepted as okay to have one, having to do it more than once seems a little dumb. Kind of like having to do a backcheck everytime you buy a firearm even though you have a CC permit already in your pocket (I know its okay in some states).

Must have something to do with a registry and money racket.

Also, if you were ever in the military or have had a passport before they already have your photo and finger prints. So they loose those and they are no good after they take and record them. Security clearances also - the info is already recorded.

On top of all that - if you can legally own a firearm you should be able to own a modulator. It is no more or less a weapon with or without one.
