That's a good buck! It's a great feeling being with a young hunter when they kill there first buck and seeing there emotions.

It sure is. I've guided countless youngsters on their first hunts. It's always a blast. I think I was the only one nervous and unsettled when it was our turn for the "first time".

I will also say congratulations to a well earned young man and his daddy. Cherish and preserve these memories because before you know it,things will change drastically. The young man will be helping dad get his deer out and doing better at it than dad. Dang they do grow up fast. It seems to me that kids growing up in the woods seem to get into less trouble than those that grow up in the big city. Especially those kids in town forced to be on their own much of the time. You certainly have this young man started out correctly in this old mans opinion.:D

I've got to ask, did you also get a deer? Or did your little man out hunt you?
I know I would never hear the end of it if my son got the only kill.
