My blued pistol tends to have some spots or streaks appear on the outside metal on the slide and frame, after pulling it out of the plastic case with foam interior. Is this due to moisture, or the lub on it? Also there seems to be a bit of lub being displaced from under the grip quite often, is there a good way to dry it?

Normally factory lube-a good cleaning will take care of it. Break it down-clean and re-lube.

Use a pin to lube it only where it needs it, a sewwing needle works too.
Also the can of gun scrubber works extremely well.
