Evening friends,
I'm working on a Springfield 120. It's the same as many other productions of the same 22 cal design... one that comes to mind was the Savage model 15. All I have seen have a retaining washer and a rebound collar in the bolt.
I've only fired this one once and it fired and ejected just fine.
Soooooo, the delima I have is that when I tore it apart it didn't have a washer and collar in it.
This is a early model and I was wondering if these parts were perhaps added to later makes to solve a problem after my gun was built. Or did someone else disassemble it in the past and fail to put them back.
The skematic from Numrich show this model has them and I have them on order.
So this is mainly a curiosity question if anyone out there knows.
