Good for you, go shoot some of it. Wish I could join you.

When I had some powder delivered a few days ago it said on the box 'explosives' you should have seen the postmans face, he couldn't wait to hand it over.

LOL! This one says 'explosives' too, all bundled up. It did arrive in a plain box with a neutral sounding shipping origin.

These surplus crates are a real treat to open, sharp metal bands and all.

  4. Sheesh, Pine, and by the thread title I was just sure you were gonna say you had just finished your first 12-pack and were starting on the second! Just kidding!!!!!! :D;):p

Seriously, 880 rounds should keep you in ammo for a week or so anyway. ;)

Congrats Pinecone!! Sound like a trip to the range in the very near future. :)

My poor UPS guy use to dread stops at my house. I had a habit of ordering my bullets in 5000 count lots. Those 200 gr. wadcutters get heavy in a hurry. That works out to about 140 lbs. a stop.
I use to go through about 2000 rounds a month. :D

Oh, I think they will last quite a while, I still have some of the last tin left. The Mosins will be used this year.

It is unusual to have the rifle ammo in good supply for plinking and none of the smaller calibers....But I couldn't resist at 23cents per round.

Aim Surplus. They don't show .308 or 7.62x39 in stock, unfortunately, but it wouldn't hurt to check now and then. These tins were $89.95 each plus shipping, cheapest I've seen in a while.

3 weeks ago, I found some surplus 7.62X54 it was mixed Russian, Yugo and Arab, but at £10 per 100 I took the lot. (about 7-8 cents a round).
