My father left me a Stevens 311/410 gauge double barrel shotgun.
The gun is stamped with large letters F S and small letters A and D in cirles.

Would appreciate any information available about the item.

Thanks Ron

Look on the bottom of the receiver next to the hinge for the date code. It will be a letter and a number in a circle. The letter is the code. The 311 was first made in 49 so if it has no code it was made after 1970 and will have a serial number.
