See the sail boat? No sail boats on Tapps that big. ;)

That ridge is at least 200 ft high. There isn't anything on Tapps higher than 20 ft in regards to land. I know because I live here! ;)

I don't know about that Mak. I'd think the man knows where he was. Also, here's a screen shot I took off of Google Earth with Lake Tapps bottom center. The angle looks darn spot on to ysacres picture. My Ranier with the smaller peak just to the left. IDK, that's your stomping grounds not mine but still, the images look close to me.

speak of strange weather... we have been having an rare cool temps for August here
Rain has been all around and high temps are about 10-14 degrees lower than normal
We're loving the break from the heat

It been cool here, too and not just at night. It has rained every day this week, as a matter of fact it is absolutely pouring down right now.

I'd like to know how to fix the humidity indicator on mine ! Wife picked it up at a yard sale for a buck or so, and it works fine, except ..... !

Lotsof folks are predicting a cold, cold winter here in the East. Right now we're experiencing somewhat wetter and cooler than the norm weather in my little corner of NJ . The norm being sweltering heat and humidity most of the time.

I hope everyone's wrong; again. Last winter we got by with only wood heat saving us a bunch ! Still have about a third of a truck load ( of two ) on hand.

The storms are fun, but the last windstorm we had here in Idaho November 2015 knocked down one of my three fences. Clean up wasnt so fun and it coat me nearly $1500.

Well it is raining here at the beach. Weather Saturday morning was sunny and warm here at home, drove 1 mile north it was a heavy drizzle, half mile later it was sunny and warm, we were headed to our morning walk/Sand Dollar Hunt, on the beach it was overcast but dry. I walked the low tide Surf Line looking for Sand Dollars, walked about a mile and a half it started drizzling again, headed back to the truck empty handed by the time I got to the truck it was dry again. headed south on the beach by the time we got to our exit from the beach it was raining again. 1/4 mile to home it was bright sunshine again. An hour later it was overcast and warm, rain started about 8PM light rain and hasn't stopped since. So many Weather Swings in one day gets confusing.

We have been in a wet cooling trend here for 2 weeks. For August, this is unusual
We have had some days that were 15 degrees below the normal
Rain has been abundant also. We are usually hot and dry this time of year until about mid Sept
