Taurus' website isn't nearly as easy to navigate as many others.

They do also make one with a length in between those two, I think.

I'll do that, I never make a final decision within a few minutes of seeing the product.

Personally I would like to buy the Freedom Arms model 83/98, It is the best built and the most accurate, $ 1789 the other three options are Ruger Super Redhawk $ 819, Taurus Raging Bull $ 899, Biggest Finest Revolver (BFR) $899
A friend has a Ruger and likes it.

I'm thinking I'll go Taurus on this one. He is kinda fond of the company anyway.

ive shot several thousand rounds of 454 casull. i blew up my first ruger super redhawk loading to hot. it is a six shooter should be five. cylinder walls to thin. magnum research best value good and strong 5 shot. freedom arms great if your rich. taurus is fine if you can inspect gun before you buy. some have rough forcing cones. consider .460 smith&wesson outstanding gun. ruger replaced my first revolver at factory cost they don't have a warranty been shooting it for four years i don't shoot max loads in this one.still have steel in my hand.
