My son decided he wanted a red dot scope after being really helpful around the house so I need to know if $35 is a good price for a Tasco 30mm red dot sight, illuminated 5 MOA reticle, fits rimfire & airguns, black matte, with warranty. The sit I am getting it from has no reviews for it so I don't know if it is a good deal so I decided to come to the people of TFF.

I don't know one Tasco from another but I have Tasco on my Thompson Contender that has both an intensity and dot size adjustment and I think I paid well over $200 a few years ago and I am very happy with it. I hope that helps.

Its a good one. My father has the same one and it works real good for te price. I am not to keen on the size of the "dot" on it though for is seems to have a bit of a glare to me. It will treat you just fine though.

hello nameless... i have a reddot scope... it is a brand of which i cant remember, the only markings on it are FM on the turret caps.. it shines red and green with 5 settings for each... it is a 1 inch tube with with removable flip up caps.... if you want it i'll let you have it for 5 bucks to cover the shipping. i had it on a crickett for about 2 days... i didnt care for it, i sighted it in enough to hit a coke can. a buddy swindled me into it somehow or another and now i cant get shed of it. its just setting on my "gun junk shelf"

That's the same scope I have on my pellet pistol. I like it, the adjustable red dot settings help on bright sunny days. I paid around $39 for mine 2 years ago. Battery seems to last a long time too.

My son needs something for his Ruger 10/22 and I decided on this, and I'm sorry but I think I might have to refuse the offer johnlivesforchrist, its a great deal, but he likes the ones that are kinda big like this one. I would prefer the old fashioned way of having scope rings you can look under, but hey, not my gun, sort of.

I bought a couple of Simmons Red dot scopes for $20 apiece. I put one on my Ruger 22/45 and just stuck the other one, un-packaged, in the safe for future use.
