Here's a pic of my Remington R1. I installed a Wilson grip safety, adjustable trigger, Wilson commander hammer, Wilson full length spring guide, Wilson 8 Rd Mag, real Ivory grips, and Texas Lone Star medallions. I call this pistol the "Texas Ranger Service Pistol". Do you all like?

Yes! I shot 50 rounds through it the other day and it ran flawless.

How is your R1's trigger pull? Mine wasn't good, so I returned it for a Kimber.

I'm sure that a trigger job would have fixed it, but with a brand-new pistol, I didn't want to do it.

My brother-in-law's son has an R1 (it ain't as pretty as yours) and I get to shoot it every time I go down to visit family. It shoots really good but I think I like my Ruger a little better.

Get this, the boy didn't know how to field strip it for cleaning. He has been shooting it for two years without ever cleaning it. That may be a testament to the gun but I had never seen one so filthy. After I showed him how to clean it (I made him do it) he said it shot so much better - I wonder why!
