AllState accepted liability in the accident!!! Thanks to those who wished well and/or prayed for the situation :D. Still will be a pain dealing with it all, but AllState does cover a free rental for the repair time etc. so just wow thank God, semester from hell finally looking up a bit!

Good news. Hope your insurance rates don't skyrocket.

    Thanks everyone!

I'm pretty much expecting that they don't change now that there is no question of liability . I know they can go up but I doubt they will here for a few reasons. Largely because I am on my parents insurance which is a huge bundle deal where State Farm is unlikely to do something that could encourage my family to move ALL their insurance to someone else. Secondly there is no police report so not only did State Farm have to pay out nothing, there is no like actual record that the accident even took place. Etc.

State Farm is the one I've stuck with since my previous insurer raised my rates for my only speeding ticket ever. I think State Farm is probably one of the better ones.

Did you have a LEO file a report at the time of the accident? Just curious, I get different answers on whether or not you fare better with a police report.

Nope no LEO involvement at all. Except my dad and his, probably crappy, advice :D. Lesson: Maybe not always call the cops, but AT LEAST pull out the freaking cell phone and record the person admitting fault!!!
