PHOENIX -
Silent Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information on two suspects accused of beating a Circle K employee during a beer theft.

Take a look at the surveillance photos released by the police on Wednesday.

On November 4th around midnight, authorities say the two suspects entered the store near Indian School Road and 15th Avenue and walked toward the beer cooler. The male and female selected two cases of beer and walked towards the exit where the employee was standing.

The female suspect was the first to exit and pushed the employee out of the way as the employee told them that they had to pay for the beer, according to police.

"The female kept pushing the employee aside as the male suspect walked out of the store with the beer without paying," said Phoenix Police Sgt. Darren Burch.

That's when the male suspect began kicking and punching the employee.

Authorities say the suspects fled the store on foot.

Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic male, 17 to 20-years-old, 5' 6" tall, 170 pounds with a mustache. Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic woman, 17 to 20-years-old, 5' 2" tall, 160 pounds with black hair.

If you have any information about this case, call Silent Witness. You can remain anonymous and receive a cash award for tips leading to an arrest or indictment

Sorry about that not showing...here's a followup commentary...I think the term, 'BEER RUN' originated out of South Phoenix...Years ago that MIRANDA RIGHTS thing originated in and around that same area...The Miranda Dude was to be eventually murdered, I think in that same area...Chief

PHOENIX -
Caught on camera: a Circle K employee viciously attacked while trying to stop a couple from making a beer run. Those suspects are still on the loose, but the victim is out of a job.

Former employee Chris Plucas says people would come into the Circle K at 15th Ave and Indian School all the time and walk out without paying for beer. It happened regularly. But in this particular incident, he felt he had to fight back.

Plucas is the employee seen on tape on Nov. 4 when a male and a female walked in and went straight to the beer cooler and grabbed three cases.

"I was cleaning the windows, it was a slow night. I look up and the female is pushing me out the door, I didn't know what was going on and I said, 'Hey what's going on, you got to pay for that tonight,' and she pushed me more. I didn't want to get physical with her."

But that's when things got ugly. Plucas says the male suspect set down the beer and came at him.

"He came at me with his left foot, his left foot to my face, I stepped back and started to swing."

In the video, you can see them fighting. Plucas says he got in a few good hits.

"I kicked him in the stomach and he picked up a case of beer, threw it at me, grabbed the other two cases… ran off."

Not only was he hurt, but to add insult to injury, Plucas was fired for "violating company policy" -- not to confront, chase or follow suspects.

The suspects got away and still haven't been caught.

"I'm very angry and frustrated about the whole thing, losing my job, it's very hard to find a job right now."

We contacted Circle K for comment and they said the bottom line when it comes to their employees is safety.
