I have a friend who likes shooting my guns, so she likes to buy components once in a while. I am stocked for 9mm right now, casting and loading for the cost of running the lead pot and the toaster over for powder coat. I figure probably $.25 a hundred or so? But 223, that is fun - I've loaded cast in the caliber but I quail at the thought of shooting it through a gas gun...worked well in the BREN 805. Those little pills are a HUGE PITA to powder coat. I did find a "deal" at Midway for 500 factory seconds for $56 or so. I remember not that long ago I was buying Hornaday FMJBT for $9.99 a box at a good reloading store...

Unfortunately, I expect them to remain like this for awhile.

Depends on which CCI you're after. CCI mini mag solid point is £10.30/100, or about $13.50.

I see they sell PPU 9mm for £41/100, or about $53.65.

I just gave a case of 500 Winchester 9mm to a friend in need.....living in a state not worthy of mentioning. I bought it four months ago from Midway for $88. I try to keep sufficient supplies of ammo On hand for these stupid shortages, I see it is fashionable to use the bathroom once again as there is an adequate Supply of TP on the shelves.

It’s not where we are living now that’s a problem. It was the move itself. We were able to rent 3 small U-Haul trailers. All of our furniture, clothing and appliances had to go with us. After that it was a matter of prioritizing the rest of our stuff with the little bit of space we had left. We sold a bunch of stuff, donated 2 truckloads of stuff to the DAV and still left a bunch of random crap behind.

Now I have plenty of room for a new reloading setup but no money after spending almost $2K on a new gun and competition gear.

It shouldn't be a problem casting bullets from gold, Mark...

I went to Bass Pro Shop earlier today looking for the Daiwa Fuego spinning reel. My wife wants one. While there she reminded me to go check and see if there were any bullets I wanted to buy. I reminded her we are good, and I get the look. I gently tucked my tail between my legs I go up to the second floor for the bullets and lo and behold 3000 rounds of cci 22 magnum on the shelf. I bought a 1000 rounds. She wanted me to get all of them but reminded her to play nice for other people and we do not need to hoard. I don't feel like I hoard anyway as I buy ammo every payday anyway whether I need it or not. They had some rifle ammo but no pistol. They have limits only on 9mm and .223 of 5 units per day.

Yes, but it works out to be only $403.89 each for 124 gr bullets. Cheaper Than Dirt is probably asking that much for lead bullets by now.
