My 15 yr old just asked me how much a Thor 45-70 would cost and I don't even know if this is a real gun. I Was hoping yall could help me out on this one. Is there even a 45-70 caliber round. It seems like something from a video game.

Yep. You can spend from, maybe, 250 or so for a NEF Handi Rifle, up to waaay over 3 grand for a Shiloh Sharps, and anywhere in between, for a 45/70 rifle. But, like Bruce, I ain't never heard of a Thor.

It appears to be a video game gun. I suspect strongly that it doesn't exist except on the computer screen.

The Thor .45-70 is a single shot handgun that was in the PlayStation 3 game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Fantastic game!

However, there are many single shot 45-70's on the market to chose form. Ruger No.1, for around $1150, several Sharps replica's, Thompson/Center's Encore, the barrel alone is $300 - $400, and the H&R 45/70 can be had from used to new at a cost of anywhere form $100 - $400.

I thought you were just explaining that it was a video-game gun. It wasn't until after I posted the link that I noticed your post had "Tanfaglio" on it. :)

The problem is, since I play the game, I know all the guns in the game are real firearms. Except, "The guns of the Patriots" which I wont spoil if anybody wants to play this game.

I've played the game two or three times and I don't know what your talking about. But beating Liquid in CQC at the end on BIG BOSS EXTREME gets annoying after a while.
