I'm assuming something cheap and untracable that one can plant on a perp if he wasn't armed when he assumed room temperature from lead poisoning.

Couldn’t you just put a knife in his hand and call it good?

It could come in handy, if the perp you shoot turns out to be unarmed. That's why they sell Jennings/Bryco "guns."

Simple answer....Hi-Point. As if you'd need an excuse to throw one of those away.

Does it have to be a gun similar to the one where superman stood still while been shot at but always ducked when it was thrown at him?

I'm glad this thread, and especially this post, were made.

There's an online story where the homeowner shot and killed a home invader, who was armed with a Bowie knife.

The cops kept beating on him - are you sure it wasn't one of your knives? Couldn't it possibly be one of your knives? - over and over again.

The question made no sense. Whether he brought the knife with him, or when he heard me coming he snatched it off a knife block, he was still armed and my life was in danger, so I was justified in shooting him.

But now I see that if it had been one of my knives, the cops can insist that I murdered "an unarmed man", and when I saw he was unarmed I put one of my kitchen knives in his hand, to justify my "bloodthirsty murder".

Perhaps the police officers need to know if they are going to find your prints on the knife as well.

Yep it is my knife and it was on the kitchen counter and he picked it up and came at me so I perforated his ugly, thieving, assaulting @ss.
