    If it was made in 26 it's a 39 not a 39A. The 39A didn't come about until 39.

    Oops, got on the wrong line of my inventory. It's a 39 A made in 1950. I edited my original post, Thanks.

    I like my Savage Mark II bolt action. On my .22 wish list is a 10/22 and a Henry lever action.

    I think I long ago posted my top 3. But I had to comment when you mentioned theRomanian69 trainer.I have one and it is an extremely accurate rifle.mine has a 15oz trigger and with just CCI standard velocity cartridges,it's amazing.

    I agree, I purchased mine many years ago just to plink with, but was pleasantly surprised by how accurate it is.
