... for my 1911. I didn't think I would get much copper fouling but I wanted to see so I tried Safarilands' bore cleaner, followed up with some CLP. The bore cleaner was a foam that you inject and then you lay your barrel sideways for 15-20 minutes allowing it to work. Seemed to do a pretty good job. The patches seen aren't all that was used. I followed up with about 5 more after I took the "clean" picture.
Take a look and see. This fouling was from 50 rounds each of:
Hornady 230 grain FMJ over 5 grains Bullseye, and
Berry's 230 grain plated over 4.7 grains Titegroup.
