Has anyone used this stuff and how did it perform. Minimags are my go to .22 ammo and I had thought that this Troy Landry stuff was the same round, but I noticed a few customer reviews at several retail sites were negative. More than the negative reviews you'd normally find about the standard Minimags. Is bulk ammo normally less reliable than that packed in 50-100 rd boxes?

i shot a box (375 rounds) of the troy landry's. i didn't notice any difference between them and my bulk case of minimags... other than the price.

box of 375 troy landry signature series was about $33
case of 1600 minimags for $99

with the case of minimags i also end up with 16 clear plastic hundred round boxes AND a water-tight olive green case to carry them all in.

can't say i've tested them on 'gators though... so i'm not sure if there is any performance difference there. ;)

The only reason I ask is because the Troy Landry's were the only MiniMags some places have in stock right now. I've never see them by the case. 1600 for $99.00 is a hell of a good price. Where did you get them?

Cant be any difference.

I mean Troy Landry did not have cci make special rounds for him before he started on the tv show. I am sure he used standard ol cci rounds. So why would cci make a special "troy landry" round now? Why do people buy into this stuff?

the only thing that changed is now troy landry gets a buck or two on the sale of his face per box.

Not a bad hustle Troy.

yup, hell of a good price. i get mine at gander mountain like jbrescue said. usually $119 but sometimes on sale for $99. when they are on sale i always grab a case.

Who is Troy Landry and why should I buy anything with his picture/name/endorsement? I would l to think that I am intelligent enough to decide for myself what type of ammo/gear etc. is suitable for my usage.
he's just a guy that hunts gators for a living and ended up on the tv show 'swamp people'. i entirely agree with you about 'signature series'... it's just paying extra for a name. like cycloneman said, a good hustle is what it is. i myself would give them a bad review simply because they are so much more expensive than the non-endorsed minimags

the reason i bought a couple boxes was i wanted one box to shoot (just to see if there was any difference even though i didn't figure there was) and one box to go in the collection of .22 boxes/rounds that i have.
