We found this revolver in the grandparents articles.
It appears to be .32 or .38. US Revolver Co stamped
on top. 6 shot.

Under left grip we found the serial number F39145.
On trigger guard we found 39145.

Can anyone tell us when and where it was manufactured?

Serial F39145 was a solid frame side loading U. S. Revolver made in 1931 by the Iver Johnson Co. of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and a six shot would be chambered for .32 S&W Long.
