    Members,
Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. It

will only take a few seconds of your time. Then pass the

link on to all the pro-gun folks you know. Hopefully these

results will be published later this month. This upcoming

year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme

Court accepting the District of Columbia case against the

right for individuals to bear arms.

First - vote on this one. Second - launch it to other

folks and have THEM vote - then we will see if the results

get published. Vote in the USA Today poll - click on the

link below. The Question is: Does the Second Amendment give

individuals the right to bear arms? Vote here:http://www.usatoday.com/news/quickquestion/2007/november/popup5895.htm

This poll cycles through the forums a few times a year. It is from 2007 (see the URL). It's not on any linked pages on USA Today's website. It's just still floating out there. Keep voting on it if it makes you feel good, but no one is going to see it and it's not going to change any laws.

Thanks for the heads up Lurpy!! I'm glad I didn't link it on another forum.

I still voted on it just out of spite. ;) :D

Sorry Folks, I should have paid more attention to detail before posting. I suppose it may still have some value as an awareness tool.

With 96% yes on 2nd A rights, we should have some support growing in the Conservative movement. Let's get a good-looking talking head to give Bamo a run for the money. TJ

Is it really that difficult to read ( i mean actually read - most people think they know the constitution until they are made to read it) that the 2nd ammendment states this is so that even 4% don't get it? I don't care if you like or keep firearms or not, the verbage states we have the right.

I didn't realize USA Today was still in business. Their newspaper dispensers around here have the doors removed and look like they have not been used in years?

It says and I quote " A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
I sure don't see may be, can be, might be. What I see is "SHALL NOT BE" That is a fact and Yes we have the right! I agree with you 100% and those that disagree are just a product of our sub-standard public school system and agenda pushing, bleeding heart, tree hugging, carbon footprint hating, Tin can driving, sorry my blood is starting to boil !!
Just my taxed 2 cents worth!
