Have a 22 cal. W.W.Cowles Deane & Co curious as to the value, serial number on bottom and barrel matches hand grip. Also curious as to when gun was manufactured
1865-1876, originally blued barrel and silver or nickel plated frame. It also has been well cleaned and polished so I would say only fair condition, perhaps 100 to 125.
Flayderman lists value range of $225-$650 for standard model marked Cowles & Son but lists the W. W. Cowles, Deane & Co. marking as a rare variant made ca. 1869 that should have a premium added.
