Mak so sorry to hear about this... Prayers being sent from my house to yours! Hope she gets better.
That's terrible, I'm sry to hear that
Prayers sent from Pittsburgh. The world is always a little bit less when we lose a dog. But I am hoping that God will make her whole again.
"Sorry" will keep your lab Nellie, you and your family in my prayers. Also, your other lab, too. When we put one of our Dobes down, due to cancer, her pup we had kept was about 6 years old back then and was lost without her.
Sincerely hope it's from swelling and will improve!
Hoping for the best. I understand your decision and process, I went through it with my 16 year old French Brittany last year.
FYI we had the vet come to our house so that Tillie could pass in her bed in her house with her family there. Cost a little but it was well worth it for us.
Like you I won't allow my pets to go on if they are in pain. IMO Nellie is lucky to have owners that care enough to do the right thing by her. That said I sure hope she recovers and is ok.
Nellie's got some prayers. Hope she pulls through.
Prayers she pulls through.
So Sorry Mak
Sending puppy prayers
Sorry to hear this. Hopefully the shots will work. Prayers from here.
Praying for a miraculous recovery.
She is worse afyer 2 days. The vet us recommending we make that tough decision. We are meeting tonight at the hospital to give her our final farewell.
My God this is tough.
I hate to hear this Mak. I know that putting down a furry child is near unbearable. I got worked up and teared up just the other day at the thought of something happening. Prayers for you and the whole family, furry wet nosed members included.
Nellie was by far the best hunting dog I've ever had the pleasure of working with on the Potholes. She was duck trained at 1 year old. We worked together on duck hunting until she was 9 when I retired her so that she would live out a long life.
Her full name is Outta Be A Alibi, Naughty Nellie. Her father was Outta Be A Law from Skyfire Labs in Ellensburg, WA and he was a National champion in both show and retrieving. He is on the cover to the left top side of their website. http://www.skyfirelabs.com/dogpages/labs.html
Our 1 year old is a direct descendent of Nellie's father.
Caliber is a quick learner, and Nellie literally taught her how to retrieve this past summer.
This is by far the toughest thing I've had to do.
So sorry, Mak.
So sorry Mak... Take care. You and your family are in our prayers...
